In order to properly apply the new version of the Act, and more specifically Chapter III, “Provision of certain legal services other than legal aid”, the government passed or amended five regulations.

This regulation provides for the application of the Act and supplements it. Only two sections were amended following the coming into force of the new Act. The regulation applies to persons eligible for legal aid under Chapter II of the Act.

Exceptionally, this regulation of the Commission des services juridiques (CSJ) was amended by the government. It concerns the administrative dealings between the CSJ, the beneficiaries who receive the services provided for in the Act and the lawyers who provide those services.

This regulation determines what is included in the costs of legal services rendered under Chapter III of the Act.

This regulation establishes measures with respect to the reports on fees and disbursements that will have to be filed by each lawyer or notary who provides services to a beneficiary under one of the plans provided for in the Act.
